Description: Here is a well preserved Stanley A78 aluminum rabbet plane. The A78 was made for only 10 years from 1925 to 35. This example has all the correct parts. The body, fence and depth stop are aluminum. The rest of the parts are cast iron (blade cap) or steel. The plane has the correct sweet heart cutter. The plane has some scratches and dings here and there, mostly on the sole. A nice example of a hard to find, especially complete, plane.
