Description: Studio Art Pottery Chawan Cup Footed Pinched Impressed Flower Chop Mark Vintage Description and Item Information Up for sale is this studio art pottery chawan, bowl, or cup. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This hand thrown, footed piece has pinched sides in three places. It has contrasting light and dark glazes. This piece stands approximately 3 3/4 inches tall, and it is about 4 9/16 inches long and 4 3/8 inches wide. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 0.6 ounce. It would be a good addition to a collection of vintage studio ceramics. Identification This piece has a small, flower-shaped chop mark on the side of the foot, as shown in Photo 4. There are no other identifying marks. The chop mark is similar to those used by the listed artists Frances Senska and Vivika and Otto Heino. The exact maker of this pot is not known. The age of this vintage piece is not known. Condition This piece has no chips or cracks. It has very light wear.
