Description: Very rare ticket from the 1937 NFL regular season game between the Cleveland Rams and Detroit Lions played on 9/10/1937 at League Park in Cleveland, Ohio. The Lions defeated the Rams 28-0 in front of a crowd of only 15,500! This ticket is extremely significant. It was the first NFL game for the Cleveland Rams organization. This ticket is begging to be graded by PSA! Notice the red and black Rams logo. These were the team colors through 1937 before the switch to the present blue and yellow. The Rams played a single season in the American Football League in 1936. The American Football League only lasted two seasons from 1936-1937 and the only team to survive it was the Rams who bolted for the NFL after the 1936 season. This ticket is extremely rare and this may be the only known example. PSA's ticket pop report does not show any graded examples of this ticket (and only 2 total home ticket for the Rams during the NFL inaugural season - see photo). A further search of Worthpoint shows no examples of this ticket having sold in the last 15 years. The only '37 home Rams ticket they show is one example from the Oct. 3rd game against the Chicago Cardinal. This ticket is in great condition (judge for yourself) and displays exceptionally well. The front of the ticket is excellent. The only flaw on this ticket is a subtle amount of what I suspect is adhesive residue on the back. Please see the photos for details.
