Description: Tanaka Ryohei Japanese Etching, "Kuchiki Roof", 1973 This print is a very nice etching from a well-known Japanese artist, Tanaka Ryohei. Number 55 of 100 limited edition prints. Unlike earlier woodblock print processes, Ryohei designed his images, etched his plates, and printed each single etching himself. Ryohei's etchings are held in public collections the world over. Having been purchased framed in Japan in 1975, the etching is still perfect condition. The print measures 14"x14". The silver frame measures 22 1/2" x 22 1/2". Two items need to be disclosed: 1) there are several minor scratches on the outer frame; 2) the bottom of the paper lining on the back is slightly worn where the print rested against the wall. Please review the photos carefully to insure that this item meets your expectations.
