Description: This is a fine first edition copy of Robert Crichton's 1st novel, "The Secret of Santa Vittoria," a delightful story about an Italian town's citizens hiding their treasured wines during the waning days of World War II, made into a movie starring Anthony Quinn. Published by Simon and Schuster in 1966, this copy is the stated First Printing and is in fine condition, no flaws (no writing inside or wear). The red stain on the top page edges is nice and bright, no fading. The dust jacket also is colorful and the only wear is a few wrinkles on the front flap, which has had the original price clipped from the bottom corner; it is now in an archival protective cover. A very nice first edition/first printing, which is scarce.
