Description: I know that I will regret selling this. The lens is stunning in every way. Sharp and atmospheric. Stopped down its razor sharp. Wide open it’s exactly the same sharpness as my Zeiss 50mm f1.4. It blooms very slightly at f1.4 and by f2-f2.8 it has serious 3d pop. The difference between this and a Zeiss is the very minimal. The aperture blades work and there is no oil. Focus is smooth - not stiff. I added a rubber cine focus gear for my large hands. There is internal dust and some light cleaning marks on the rear. See images. Being an old lens - it can flares (beautifully) which is why I put a matter market lens hood. Keeps the image under control. This lens is something of a legend. Finding one that works is hard ! The only reason I am selling is that I have too Many 50mm -58mm lenses. Way too many. Ships following morning
