TRILUX SCOPE RE-ILLUMINATION MODULE RED, GREEN & BOTH COLORS (DIY INSTALLATION)

TRILUX RE-ILLUMINATION MODULE (Do-It-Yourself Installation)For the previous 5 years, this item has been sold on my now idle eBay business account: sbaarmamentllc You are purchasing ONE ONLY, Newly Made, CNC machined, 6061 Aluminum alloy, Mil Spec Hard Coat Anodized, Tritium lit, BRIGHTNESS CONTROL LEVER for the SIGHTUNIT, INFANTRY TRILUX L2A2 British (and Israeli issue) military rifle scopes (as shown in the first photo). Many of these scopes were imported into the US and the pointer is no longer illuminated. Most were de-milled, and the tritium module (brightness control lever) completely removed and now have only a cavity in the scope body. Others have the brightness control lever, but the tritium no longer illuminates. Until now, the only option available to illuminate the pointer was the LED battery operated units. They are larger, bulkier, prone to damage and require frequent removal for battery changes and are an unsightly addition to this classic optic. This kit allows you to re-light your Trilux in the original manner in keeping with the design specifications for this classic British military optic. WHAT OUR PRODUCT DOES: The only purpose of the original tritium light source was for extremely low light, dusk till dawn applications to illuminate the tip of the pointer for contrast against the target and/or background, PERIOD. This is what our RE-ILLUMINATION MODULE does, nothing more, nothing less. With these new modules you keep the original military look and function but have color options if you so desire. Users that are familiar with the Trilux understand the capabilities of the Tritium light source and I apologize for re-stating the obvious. WHAT OUR PRODUCT DOES NOT DO: For those unfamiliar with the original SIGHT UNIT, INFANTRY TRILUX design specifications, our RE-ILLUMINATION MODULE will not convert your 50 year- old Trilux into a state-of-the-art modern illuminated optic. It will not turn it into a Red Dot scope, an AKOG or anything else. If you are looking for those results, I would suggest that you sell your Trilux and purchase currently produced optics. This replacement module consists of a newly manufactured, CNC machined 6061 aluminum alloy, Brightness Control Lever which has been Mil Spec Hard Coat Anodized and specially machined to hold either one or two tritium vials, depending on your color selection. You can have it with either a RED or GREEN Tritium vial or BOTH. The GREEN is much brighter than the RED, but the RED was the original color used for the Trilux scopes. Current prices for a single color is $109.95 and a two color is $134.95. I will try to keep these prices as long as I can even though my costs for the machining alone has gone up 35%, not to mention eBay fees. This unit comes with o-ring, internal retaining ring and step by step instructions. With a single tritium color installed, the Brightness Control Lever will operate just as the original, and the degree of brightness can be adjusted and/or turned off. With TWO tritium vials, you can switch colors but not entirely turn off the illumination. The Tritium vials are current production and should last about 10 years. It is a relatively simple installation process if you have at least some mechanical ability and a decent set of small snap ring pliers. ALL MODULES ARE TESTED IN AT LEAST 2 DIFFERENT TRILUX SCOPES FOR FIT AND FUNCTION PRIOR TO BEING SHIPPED. THE ASSEMBLY, TESTING, PACKAGING AND SHIPMENT IS ALL DONE BY ME.
