We used the phone unti approximately 2012 and it just stayed on the wall until I took it down last month to remodel. So it worked back in 2012. The is a sticker on the phone that says it was installed byy AT&T in this house in 1984. Great old phone with original long cord - the cord has been stretched out since this was the previous homeowners "kids" phone.
