I see no rips, tears and only one very small spot on front. The back of the quilt is a soft brown. There is minimal machine quilting on the quilt. The quilting is only around the edges and the top and bottom. Pictures are taken on my king size bed. This quilt was bought at a lovely estate in Palm Harbor, Florida. 051824
