Description: Offered here is a United China and Glass Company cigarette box with two matching ashtrays. UCGCO was an American importing company of Japanese ceramics. This cigarette box and ashtray set was imported in the 1950's. Box is in very nice condition. It is clean. Some minor gold trim loss. Light crazing on the bottom of box. Scuffing on one ashtray's underside on the unglazed fire ring. This ashtray is lighter pink on underside than the other ashtray. No chips, or cracks. Two glaze skips in the cigarette box done during manufacturing. Box is 5.25 inches in length and is 3.5 inches wide/deep. Box is two inches tall w/o ball finial. Ashtrays are 4 inches in length and are 3 inches wide. The ashtrays stand close to a half inch. Ashtray interiors have an opalescent glaze as well as the balls in the ashtrays along with the box finial.
