Not, of course, allowed on the uniform, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items. 11th Marines is an artillery regiment with a long, distinguished list of battle honors -- including WWII, Korea, and Vietnam! The regiment also served in Operation Desert Storm where it was designated Task Force King! Unit is the artillery arm of the Camp Pendleton-based 1st Marine Division. They are known as The Cannon Cockers! Recent Decades: Of course, the Marines of 11th Regiment made history once again in hard-fought battles of Operation Iraqi Freedom! The regiment sent battalions and individual batteries to serve in Iraq for the initial invasion, as well as for subsequent deployments. This is a BRAND NEW and UNUSED patch.
