Description: Vectrex Mail Plane *** BRAND NEW OCTOBER 2021 *** Mail Plane is one of the four "infamous" unreleased Vectrex titles. Together with Tour De France, Dark Tower and Pitcher's Duel, Mail Plane was announced by GCE back in the early 80s but never saw a commercial release. It was even advertised on the box of the Light Pen itself as one of the other games you could play with the Vectrex Light Pen. The data for Mail Plane has been around for years. A few people have made cartridges and one person, Federico Salerno, even made a limited number of boxed copies available for a time. The problem with Mail Plane is that in order to play it, you have to also have the rare Vectrex Light Pen. So for this DELUXE EDITION, I decided I would not only do a complete, boxed version of the game, but I would also make a perfect replica of the Vectrex Light Pen. Over the course of several months, I had a mold made for the pen body and related parts and also a mold made for the special cable used for the Light Pen. The end result is what you see in this listing - a PERFECT replica of the original Vectrex light pen. In fact, it looks much like the original that I had to leave something off so as to be able to distinguish it from an original Light Pen. That is why you might notice missing "tm" after the logo that is stamped onto the pen body in silver. In addition to the pen itself, I also reproduced the single-sheet manual that was included with the original Light Pen. This sheet is also labeled as a "reproduction". Lastly I made a custom box insert that the pen fits into which nests inside of the regular Vectrex game box insert I use with all of my games. Everything nests inside of each other and can be displayed on your shelf just like every other Vectrex game. This listing is for the DELUXE EDITION of Mail Plane. If you already have an original Vectrex Light Pen, check my other listings for the standard edition which costs less but does not include the replica Light Pen.
