Description: Up for your consideration is a cameo vintage edition of Nancy Drew's "Clue of the Velvet Mask", by Carolyn Keene. This book has the 1959 text. Beautiful Artwork by the very talented Polly Bolian. Cameos are classic Nancy Drew books that were published as Book Club Editions. These books are highly sought-after primarily for the gorgeous artwork and especially the color frontispieces. There were two sets- each set had six books. "Velvet Mask" was the very first cameo published of the more popular set which was published in 1959. It is still considered scarce but not belonging to the 1960 less popular set. I'd rate this copy as near fine to excellent+. Please see photos. The cover is nice with only light fading to the blue. There is some minor corner bumping. The frontis is in attractive condition- bright color. (And Heidi's pen didn't make an impression this time). The pages are slightly aged. The edge of the book is jagged as was a common practice in book club editions. These books pick up dust and that's true of every cameo I've ever seen. In this case, it's certainly about average. The spine looks nice with minor bumping. All in all, a lovely copy of a rather scarce Nancy cameo!~~~~~~To bottomline it: I don't sell things I wouldn't want.
