Description: Very unusual Quadruple (4-Part) Gutta Percha Case with 4 tin types of family members. one small piece of the decorative gold missing (see last photo). also tiny chip on corner (see photo). The case has a warp. (see photo). Top left behind tin type it reads: Littlefield Parson & Co. Mfg. of Daguerreotype Cases LP & Co. Are the Sole Prop & only legal mfg. of Union Cases with the embracing riveted hinges. Pat Oct 14 1856 & April 211 1857. Someone removed the tin type on the top left where the writing is and the tin type isnt back in place quite as tight as originally.I would not have had the information to include of maker, if they had not.
