Vintage 1957 Enicar Ultrasonic Seapearl w/Signed Crown,Brevet Divers All SS Case

Description: ***********Given that the movement runs a bit slow and considering that it shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended.***********This seldom seen 1957 Enicar Ultrasonic Seapearl has a lovely textured "SWISS" only signed dial that has aged naturally to a toasted silver hue. The original lume, which no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The smooth, fixed bezel and the all stainless steel case show honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outermost edge of the case back is stamped "BREVET + 98.243" with "SWISS INCABLOC ENIFLEX 100/91 BA a S WATERPROOF STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC" stamped along the inner edge" and "SEAPEARL" followed by "ENICAR" and "ULTRASONIC" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "ENICAR WATCH Co" followed by "EPSA - STOP" and "4-57." The crystal shows light scratching.The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "ENICAR WATCH Co" stamped A-R 1034 automatic movement is clean and runs strong, albeit a bit slow. After recently winding the sharply threaded Enicar signed non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement was running about 3 minutes slow by the end of its approximate 38 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. Given that the movement runs a bit slow and considering that it shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 36.5 mm including the crown and approximately 17.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the fixed bezel, is approximately 7 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 10 mm.
