Perfect for a collector and/or a woman of any age. Retro chic, timeless, and so versatile. A unique spin on a classic shape that never goes out of style. Would make a great gift! Classic dark gray G15 mineral glass lenses provide 100% UV protection. Pre-B&L etching. Non-prescription & ready to wear! No scratches noted. There may be minor hairline scratches from storage and cleaning, but I didn’t see any of note upon close inspection. Semi-translucent frame has chestnut brown and indigo blue colors suspended in the clear base. Frame color varies depending on lighting and wearer’s skintone (due to frame’s translucency) and may appear slightly different in person (due to differences in monitor and device settings). Photos were taken indoors in natural light and ring (artificial white). They are of the actual pair you will receive. Left temple is marked SYDNEY and right temple is marked B&L RAY-BAN U.S.A. Some tarnishing of metal bars inside temples. Minor hairline scratches to frame or metal parts is possible from storage. Right temple is slightly more curved than the left. Hinges open and close well. Some tarnishing of hinges. I have given them a light polishing. Screws have been replaced with NOS screws that will hopefully last you another 50 years! Adjustments to vintage sunglasses are often if not always needed. At present, this pair fits tighter than most. Do not attempt to make adjustments on your own - see an optician or optical professional familiar with making adjustments to vintage acetate frames. I recommend taking all vintage sunglasses to an optician for a custom fit - we’re all different! Most benefit from this service as they help you look and feel your best while wearing the sunglasses. Adjustments can also be preventative - helping avoid glasses so loose that they slip down your nose or fall off your face or so tight that they give you a headache and/or put pressure on the hinges. Includes a new modern collapsible case by the brand “A New Day”. It is lightweight with a magnetic closure. Folds completely flat to save space. I think the lack of visible metal parts and mix of cool and warm toned colors make these sunglasses especially versatile and flattering for a range of skin tones and hair colors. These are a fun departure from your average tortoise frame without being too loud. I have done my best to show the pair in various lighting conditions and when worn by yours truly. On me, the sunglasses appear much more brown when worn (rather than red or orange). I suspect that the darker the wearer’s skintone. The darker the wearer’s skintone, the more brown and less orange/red the frame will appear when worn. The fairer the wearer’s skintone, the more orange/red and less brown the frame will appear when worn. Please ask all questions prior to bidding or buying as I do not accept returns. Final sale. Cleaning and Care: I recommend using a hard case for storage and optimal protection. Not included. Rinse glasses with cool water if they become dusty and allow them to dry before cleaning with a soft microfiber cloth and lens cleaner. Never clean with a dry cloth alone. Do not leave sunglasses in direct sunlight and extreme temperatures for extended periods of time, such as a car glovebox. Hinges may be polished with a silver polishing cloth. They may be lubricated with WD-40 if needed. Condition: These are vintage sunglasses and my family has been the only owner. They are not perfect even if listed as new old stock. Do not expect mint perfection or you will be disappointed. They are 50+ years old and are in excellent vintage condition. They have never been worn. They almost certainly need a proper fitting by an eye specialist. Condition is subjective and based on my personal expertise, but is still an opinion nonetheless. Evaluation of condition takes into consideration the condition of a given pair relative to others of the same or similar model, from the same time period and brand.
