Description: Vintage clay statue figurine of a mother and baby wrapped in a long blanket. Mom has a thick mane of long braided black hair and stands about 12" tall. While holding a long haired child wrapped in a brown blanket, she is wrapped in a full length blanket featuring a mix of colors: red, blue, green, yellow, brown, pink. The statue is a white clay and painted a variety of colors with a rough matte finish. Fired but not glazed maybe, but seems a little soft so maybe just air dried? The brown on her face is scratched off on the nose as seen in photos. There are no markings unless you think the last picture says something more than tool marks! I think it is a signature and date but it is illegible to me. This is in very good vintage condition. Although I dusted it off a little bit with a small dry paint brush, it still has some dusty crevices. Thanks for looking!
