Description: 15.75"" round hand crafted plate, detailed Pharaonic inlay of silver. Vintage item made in Egypt by their famous silver artisans. Inlay is in very good condition. The plate itself may be brass, with the silver inlay added. The entire plate has a black antique finish, which brings out the details of the silver work. Ancient Egyptian design with temples, kings, queens, lotus flowers,etc. The silver is most likely 900 which is what they used in Egypt at that time. I could find no marking for the silver. The back is signed by the artist. The plate itself weighs almost 4 lbs.This is a family treasure packed away for many years. Very beautiful and unique design. Pre-1960's. Original owner.
