Description: Majolica Pottery Frog on Melon (Cantaloupe) Pitcher. The green, brown, and yellow melon is decorated with an applied large brown frog with an open mouth trimmed with green. The looped tail serves as a handle. The bottom side of the handle has a leaf decoration. Very creative design and fantastic color choices in glazing. (Vibrant but earthy. ) The frogs mouth is the only opening, so this piece is more decorative than functional. It is beautiful indoors or as garden decor.
