The shiny plate has rounded edges at the top four corners, and etched backwards into its surface is the logo for the St. Regis Hotel, in New York City. The first image is a scan of the actual surface of the printer's block plate, while the second image has been reversed, in order to show what a printed image of that plate would look like.
