Vintage Mysteries Rosary Counter Pat. D-17156, Click Rotation, Works, Mid-1900s

Description: This is a truly vintage item, a Mysteries Rosary Counter. Very unusual and rare. Highly collectible. Circa Mid-1900s. UNITED STATES. CIRCA MID-1900s. This unique Mysteries Rosary Counter appears to be circa mid-1900s. My research on it turned up no useful information. It is manufactured of mid-1900s materials including hard plastics, clear plastics, and what appears to be a metal rosary. The guiding chart inside the counter is full-color. It appears to be thick paper. The rosary and guiding chart are permanently sealed inside the counter. The counter cannot be opened. The counter functions/rotates by use of a clicker located at the top right (at about 1:00 on a clock face). The clicker is fully functional. I tested the counter about 10 clicks. I tested it no more past that. On reverse is marked: PAT D-17156 OTHER PAT. PEND. BOX 383 ST. CLOUD, MINN. U.S.A. The counter measures about 4.5" x 2.5". It weighs 38.5 grams. This vintage counter is in excellent to very good vintage condition and is fully functional. There are no cracks or breaks in the plastic. The top plastic is remarkably clear, allowing an unobstructed view into the guiding card. NOTE: Although fully functional, I would suggest only very limited use. It is after all a very old item, made of 1950s plastics. It could easily break or crack. The clicker and rotation device inside the counter are particularly vulnerable to damage. This truly vintage Mysteries Rosary Counter might be best preserved as an object of collection, as part of a treasured collection. Free shipping.
