Vintage Pair of English Linton Brass Mirrors

Description: Condition as shown in photo images. Vintage Linton Brass Wall Mirrors, matching pair, Made in EnglandAppropriate width 11 5/8in., Some wear shown in photos. One Mirror has wear to its foil backing around edges, but other mirror shows no wear. Back side has not been polished and both have mounting hardware attached. From a single owner who was stationed in UK as an US army air core officer during WW II and acquired pieces during that service. Backside embossed “LINTON”, “MADE IN ENGLAND”. Assembly of each; main brass body, brass mounting ring, glass mirror with silver foil backing, four brass treaded studs with matching, and brass mounting hardware. Magnetic Test; a magnetic will not attach metal parts of this listing including treaded studs, wall hanger, and bolts. Metal is NOT plated brass on steel, but solid brass. Mirror is glass with a silver foil backing application. Mirrors are bolted to main brass body with four treaded studs and brass ring with 1/4in brass bolts. No adhesives. Should the glass mirror break, it can be replaced with a very simple repair via unbolting the metal assembly.
