Vintage Peco 7' Silver Aluminum Pom Pom Tree 119 Branches

Description: This is a vintage 7' silver aluminum "Christmas Pine" tree made by the Peco company. It comes complete with the 2-piece pole, the tripod stand and 119 branches. There is one extra branch. The branches are all the same length at about 24". All the branches fit well into the holes on the stand. The tripod stand has some rust on it - see the photo. The cellophane tape at the end of each branch has yellowed due to age. About 12 of the branches needed to be re-taped with Scotch tape as the old tape had fallen off. (The branches need to be taped because with these pom pom trees, you insert the metal bottom of the branch into the paper sleeve, to preserve the shape of the pom pom. You pull them out the same way, by the end of the metal dowel.) Three branches have some of the metal rod protruding at the top edge. The first time I set up this tree, I thought this branch went at the top, so you could put a tree topper on it. Then I found two more like it. It doesn't affect the display and I mention it for accuracy. I did use one to put a tree topper on. The metal edge of one of the branches is slightly bent, see the photo. Since there is an extra branch, you don't have to use it. I HAVE used it and it doesn't affect the appearance of the tree. All the paper sleeves are there, some of them are tattered at the ends. The original box is in poor condition, but it did its job of protecting the branches within. The shipping cost will depend on whether the buyer wants the original box or not. The shipping listed is for a new box, with the old box inside. It would be less without the box. I could also, if desired, cut the printed part of the original box and include those parts in the new shipping box. The pom poms are in decent shape, not perfect, but decent.
