Description: Vintage Russian/Soviet battery operated 1925 Phaeton tin toy car. Overall the item is in excellent condition. I dont think it was ever played with. No rust, corrosion or scraps/scratches. Item has been tested and works. Forward and reverse by pushing the gear shiter forward or back. Headlights also light up. There is some damage to the tires. Whatever was used in the rubber (petroleum distillates I'm guessing) reacted with the foam packaging over the years and caused some melting/deformation. Please see pictures for condition. Tires are solid and not "sticky". I put a small piece of cardboard in the bottom to separate the tires from touching the foam. Foam box/carton is in good condition and still has structural integrity with some overall wear from storage and handling. Most items come from a smoker environment, but it is more likely the packing material will smell of smoke than the item. Get rid of the packing and you should be fine. If smell is a deal breaker for you keep in mind many of my items come from attics, garages, barns, basements and everywhere else, so you may need some Febreze. With the fore mentioned in mind, my items may have: dirt, grease, oil, rust, dander or other forms of filth on them. I do my best to clean things up, but some things are inherently unkempt.
