Description: This is a vintage ceramic cookie jar by Shawnee Pottery. The image of a smiling pig is a popular one for these cookie jars and many variations exist. This one features hand painted flowers and vines and other details all of which are in exceptional condition. There is only one noticeable flaw which is a small chip on the very bottom which cannot really be seen unless the jar is turned over. See the photos for details. There is a small "divot" in the glaze on the very top of the cookie jar, a factory imperfection. All in all, a great collectible example.
