Description: You are bidding on a vintage, 1982 Lobot unpunched, sealed action figure on card with an offer for an Admiral Ackbar figure in the upcoming 1983 Revenge of the Jedi movie with 48 figures listed on the back. LET'S BE CLEAR: The box is not in great condition, it's scratched, bent, the bubble is crunched with very little yellowing, it looks like a pin was pushed through the middle of the card and an intensely sticky price sticker was removed at some point from the upper right corner. Please see all photos before bidding. However, everything is still legible and it's a great blast from the past. Look, Lobot isn't everyone's favorite character (even his name - is it a reference to a lobotamy, but blended with 'robot'? - not really cute, George) but here's why he should be: He's the 80s General Grievous, openly cybernetic. No one could even tell if Vader or Stormtroopers were humans or robots or what, but Lobot was part man, part machine, all proud. For Star Trek fans - he has the baldness of Captain Picard, the neural networks of Data, and the cyber accessories of Geordi and 7of9. And look, a huge problem old school Star Wars fans have with the prequels is the abrupt shift of Anakin, but Lando and Lobot are traitors and selfish and (without ever having a line) Lobot does one eye shift to Lando and they immediately go from traitor to full on rebels and we all know it and are on board. I'm just saying that if, during the scene with Mace, Anakin and the Emperor, if Hayden had had the same eye-acting gravitas as Lobot and done an eye shift from Mace to Palpatine with that skill and a similar musical sting from John Williams, we all would have completely been on board with an immediate shift from hero to villain and he could have killed all the sandpeople, younglings, ewoks and puppies and everyone would have been on board. That is the power of Lobot. Invest in the greatest eye performance of our generation. Bid on Lobot, if not this Lobot, bid on SOME Lobot. The box is bad, but let's not pretend, it's been more than fourty years since 1982, and the box reflects that time. Buying a pristine box is just buying a lie. This is a piece of history. Happy Bidding! I'm selling off my very large Star Wars collection, so please keep an eye out for other items I will be posting over the next few months if you are interested. The photos that you see are of the actual product that you will receive, and the box is in not great condition.
