Description: c. 1930s; Electric Ad Clock Co. - Chicago Vintage neon-accented wall-mount advertising clock. This unique piece doesn't seem like much at first glance, maybe an old mantle clock. But plug it in and it becomes something else entirely. Neon tubes run the diameter of the clock face the small advertising window. Within this window is a small drum with various businesses painted, in addition to their locations and phone numbers. Multiple patents were introduced to reduce the amount of power the drum needed to turn and increase the amount of "plates" available to advertise on (this clock has six--one is blank and missing chalkboard paint). Exhibits rust and scuffs on the back and small scratches on the front.
