Vintage Vogue Baby Dear Top Knot Baby Doll 1960

Description: Vogue1960Top KnotBaby Deardesigned by Eloise WilkinMarked EWilkin 1960on her left leg in the back.She has been rescued from a couple of mishaps.I am not a professional but enjoy cleaning, sanitizing and making a baby huggable again.With that said, this sweet baby is an original topknot but she no longer has the topknot.She has been given a removeable partial cap wig in strawberry blonde. It is lightly pinned on in case some day she finds a new topknot. All the original holes are there for her topknot.Her strawberry blonde cap appears darker in the photos than it is in person and of course different computers and devices may show it differently. Baby Dear came to me with her right leg missing and her right arm had been torn and restitched on the outside. It was a letter L shaped tear and I left that repair as is. It does keep the arm on well. I'm just guessing a puppy got ahold of her at one time. She was cleaned inside and out with all old kapok removed, cloth and limbs were soaked for a couple days to freshen her although she was not really dirty. While removing the old kapok I saw remnants of a dried up and cracked in many pieces old rubber squeaker so she does not have a squeaker. She was then re-stuffed with my preference of clean poly-fil and put back together. I stitched a donor leg to the existing cloth on her body, re attached her head, not with wire which can rust but with strong ribbon, easily changed. Her Vogue Doll's Inc tag will be glued back on just underneath that incase you want to open her again. She has her original EWilkin 1960 left leg; it was the right leg that was missing and replaced. That leg came from the earliest redesigned 18" doll and is vinyl which is supple, not hard plastic. But it is slightly less supple than the original Baby Dear's other leg and there is an ever so slight difference in the size of the foot and or circumference of the leg. It may just be my imagination that notices this and if not mentioned you might not notice this.She comes in a cute Rosebud dress, bonnet and onesie.She brings a few toys she has become attached to and a pink blanket with a deer on it.She is a nice clean and loveable Baby Dear.There is a small spot on her lower leg where I have not taken the time to put acne cream on it.
