Description: I am offering for sale this Vintage Winstead "KARPENTER" 1/2" Socket Firmer Chisel Carpenters Woodworkers Tool Inv#HA100 A very good Winstead Karpenter 1/2" socket firmer chisel. Blade has some typical minor pitting consistent with use and age, but still in excellent user condition. Socket blade measures approx., 6-7/8" W. Overall measures: 11-1/4" L. Iron has a nice heavy feel and patina and is marked with Mfg name (see photos). I always suggest sharpening to bring it back to optimal use. It is in "as found" condition right out of a carpenters work shop. It weighs only 4oz.
