Description: Presented for your consideration is this Vintage Mail Pouch Tobacco advertising thermometer. This is a large thermometer that measures approximately 39" x 8". It is constructed of porcelain over metal. This is the same thermometer used in the Andy Griffith Show. A thermometer exactly like this one hung at Wally’s Filling Station for pretty much the entirety of the show. At one point they covered up the MAIL POUCH wording. See if you can spot the thermometer in the photos I’ve provided of Wally’s Filling station. They are the last 2 photos. Condition: Main advertising field is very nice. It does exhibit porcelain chipping with rust in areas. Glass thermometer appears to be reading the correct temperature.
