Description: Here is an advertising thermometer for the Superior Restaurant, Allentown, PA. This is a very old picture frame thermometer...40's or 50's I'd say from looking at that vintage phone number. It measures 5" square and is almost flat. The thermometer did leak and discolor the lovely bird picture, but despite that problem I believe it is still a very desirable collectible from one of the older and extremely popular restaurants in Allentown, PA. The back is made of metal with clamps to hold the front glass in place, and has a hanging hook attached or you can just hang it on a hook. It has never been taken apart, and I honestly never noticed this thermometer problem until right now... it was displayed in my parents home for many years just like this.
