Description: Here we have a rare and tasty CD treat from our favorite Demented Duo, alt-rock tweakers WEEN: a sealed, mint copy of Live at Stubb's, 7/2000, a triple CD set issued in 2003 on the band's own Chocodog label, long out of print. This set was compiled from two Texas dates ("probably the highlight of the entire year-long tour" – Dean Ween) at Austin's fabulous Stubb's, famous for their tangy barbecue sauce of the same name, hopefully available at a grocery near you. These three discs draw on all seven of the Ween albums issued at that point, three songs never released on a Ween album, and a cover of Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher." Disc Three consists of the single thirty-six-minute-plus "L.M.L.Y.P," plus a matching MPEG video clip, in which several fetching young ladies climb onstage and shake their moneymakers while Ween grooves out. This is one hell of a concert document, beautifully recorded, with the band riding a killer show for everything it's worth. Three discs, 31 tracks, more than two and a half hours of music and a 36-minute video, drenched in the holy bongwater of the Boognish and housed in a beautiful triple-panel digipak. Not many copies of Live at Stubb's were pressed, and damn near all of them vanished from the face of the earth in a twinkling. This copy vanished, too, but it is now peeking at you with big brown eyes and happily wagging its tail, hoping to find a home in your collection. Don’t miss this chance.
