Unused and have been stored for years. I noticed one plate (see close up picture) that has a few very small dark colored specks embedded in the plate, which tells me this occurred during the manufacturing process. They are very tiny. On the base rim of plates there are signs of shelf wear. Just normal. I see no other issues at all with any of these plates. I have gone over each of these very carefully too. I may have missed something but I do not believe so. Very glossy finish with deep navy blue floral design on a white background. Safe for everyday use. Dishwasher and Microwave safe.
