THIS deck specifically is one of the very first reissues of the legendary and coveted Joe Lopes Crystal Ball decks and they put the Crystal Ball artwork on the WRONG Joe Lopes Pro Model SHAPE!~ This deck is obviously the totally awesome Joe Lopes Crystal Ball graphic, but it's on Joe's BBQ Pro Model Tail shape!! BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE!!! This deck also has factory DOUBLE WHEEL WELLS!!! GTFO! It's kind of funny too, because when Vision/Schmitt Stix reissued the BBQ deck way back in around 2003'ish the first few decks escaped on the Crystal Ball shape with Joe's personal non-production smaller and more angular sparrow tail shape. Anyway, this graphic being offered again has been a dream come true for myself and many fans of Joe's ( RIP Homie ). This was one of my all time favorite decks and riders of the time, like Jeff Grosso and John Lucero, Joe was just freakin' funny and cool. I rode through 6 of these decks as a kid before the BBQ model came out, each version was cool in it's own way and they kinda had a niche. I LOVED his very first release of the Crystal Ball, it was fat and wide and had a huge tail and double round wheel wheels... the couple of those that I had were my favorites for the Big Ditches in town. There's a cool history to the artwork as well. It's a fun homage of M.C. Escher's original artwork of "Hand with Reflecting Sphere," only re-imagined with Joe, by fellow Schmitt Stix Team rider and brilliant photographer Bryce Kanights.
