Description: WW2 American US Army Pacific Field Artillery Corporal A Class Jacket 1942 Genuine period A class jacket as worn by a Corporal who served in a field artillery unit as part of USARPAC (US Army Pacific) during the Second World War. The A class jacket also know as the enlisted mans coat, was initally a field jacket until 1942 in which the jacket was used for dress purposes. The jacket is the early war 1940 No8.-31D spec with a bi-swing back (see pictures). The jacket is in overall good clean original condition; however, there are a couple of small moth holes (see pictures). These do not detract from the overall appearance and the jacket still displays very well. Made from all natural fibres and features: brass U.S. Army buttons, U.S. collar disc, field artillery collar disc, USARPAC patch to the left arm, three overseas service bars to the left arm (each bar denotes six months service overseas), corporal rank chevrons to each arm, 'ruptured duck' honorable discharge patch to the chest, size stamp 39 short to the lining and a label present to a pocket interior which reads: Curlee Clothing Co.Cont.
