Description: WWI M1908 1908 BRAZILIAN BAYONET with LEATHER & BRASS SCABBARD SIMSON & CO This is a M1908 SIMSON & CO SUHL German made BRAZILIAN Bayonet with Brass & Leather Sheath. This is a beautiful bayonet. It has the factory blade, a pointy tip, and lots of great markings. Very clean overall with just a little grease. The blade has the vast majority of the factory metal color finish with very little and very faint patina. It looks slightly used. The wood handle is secure with very little surface wear. No cracks. The pommel looks great with very faint surface wear. The push button works as expected. The hooked quillion / guard looks very nice with some minor surface wear and has the metal color. The leather scabbard is in great condition with very little surface wear and strong stitching. The brass ends are very secure and have very little wear. Both the brass and leather are selected to ensure the bayonet has the least amount of wear from the scabbard over time. Quality was really engineered into the scabbard. Fully functional. This is a beautiful set that looks like it has had minor use.
